DIY beadlocks on factory steel rims

Anyone ever done this? I know kits like the Rockstomper ones go on the outside of the rims and add about an inch to total width. Was going to try this with a set of 15x7 Jeep steelies but just wanted to check if anyone elsed had done it.

I have done a few sets for ppl, and I did one set for myself. They all will add width to the wheel you put them on.

My far the best and easiest install ones are the ones that tab sells. The inner ring is smaller then the outer and fits inside the lip of a steel wheel. The ones that you have to set on the wheel and weld the top are hard to get to seal propery, takes lots of silcone. I would recommend getting a set from tab, easier install then all the others out there selling them.

Thanks Brian, the ones like mine are much easier to center and weld up. They will add width (the thickness of the bead or about 3/4 to an inch) but less than the others. But only like 1/4 inch or so.
