Tracker Tranny Question

anybody running auto's in their 4 wheelers? pros and cons? the last couple decent trackers i've considered purchasing have been autos. i would rather have manual for the gearing. what the largest tire you can run with an auto without losing all your power. thanks in advance.

ya kinda need the rest of the equation for anyone to comment intelligently. Engine?, Tire size?, R&P?, T'case? Use of vehicle?.
I run a V6 w/4sp auto with 5.89's and 37's no problem running down the road all day.

leave it stock, the 1.6 doesnt have enough power as it is.

you can run bigger than stock but it is going to suck nomatter how big or small you go. with a manual 30s is as big as you can go without screwing things up really bad.

if you swap R&P's with some from a stick you'll do fine on 30-31's,
I've driven a stock 1.6 16v auto on 30's and it isn't terrible, but it is noticable, if I have to go repo this vehicle I plan to do this and run it myself a while (lite wheeling)
