Cheap soft top trick

For those of us with soft upper doors.
This isn't very technical, but it's a good tip, it's something I have been doing in my Jeeps since the late 70s..
I was tired of not being able to let some air in my Jeep when it was cold outside (you know- open is too cold, closed is too hot), so I started looking around. This clip is from my SCUBA stuff, it is used to be for looping around your gauges and clipping them where you can find them underwater. The end around the door post is adjustable for more or less window opening. It has lasted a long time, several years of SCUBA diving and at least 6 years on the Jeep.
But something like this would be easy to make as long as it wasn't adjustable, just find a quality clip at a hardware store and some thin rope.

These pics show the rear of the window open, you can also open the front like old-school vent windows. This works good for the smokers out there.

I used suspenders for a toddler size, bought at a garage sale, they use similar clips.

aligator clips(radioshack, or your local Stoner) and elastic(any fabric store) work good too.

When I had my YJ I just bought a set of soft upper doors that had sliding windows. So much better.
