I'm looking seriously at buying another vehicle, and if I get it, I will
NOT be abandoning my Scrambler project. However, I
will be using some other "run of the mill" CJ parts I already have in lieu of these rare/highly sought after parts, in order to offset the purchase price. I will leave these posted here for a short time, as they'll be hitting eBay if they're not spoken for quickly. Prices are firm, and I'm looking just for cash (sorry...no trades).
IMPORTANT:If you are interested in any of this stuff, PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT
one.x.one.craig@gmail.com RATHER THAN PM ME (the threaded natured of gmail allows me to stay better organized).
These items are at my place near Grand Rapids, Michigan.

CJ "Granny-low" T-18 transmission package
This is a pretty much turn-key T-18 transmission "package" from a running '78 CJ-7 Levi's Edition with a 258 I-6 motor (VIN #J8M93AA139225). I personally drove the vehicle a few times before I tore it down, and the transmission worked fine in all gears & reverse. I planned on having it gone through just due to the age, but it worked fine as-is. This is essentially "one stop shopping", eliminating the need to shop around for various required components, paying for expensive adapters, etc. Included with this package are:
- Granny-low T-18 transmission w/shifter (NOTE: Missing knob)
- Bellhousing
- Clutch disc
- Pressure plate
- Dana 20 transfer case w/linkage & shifter
- Skidplate (different design from '81-'86 CJs)
- (8) 1/8" OEM spacer plates to mount between skid plate & frame
- Bellcrank linkage
- Manual pedal assembly (if you need it)
- Reverse light wiring harness
- Transmission access cover
- Front driveshaft (NOTE Rear driveshaft is not included, as it was a CJ-7 and was too short for my Scrambler anyway. It has already been sold.)
- Illustration of which mounting holes to use on the frame/skidplate
$750 FIRM for the complete T-18 package. Price these items out individually, and you'll realize that this is a good value (just the transmission/t-case alone will pull close to this on eBay).

'86 CJ-7 axles (wide-track Dana 30 & Dana 44)
I also have a set of the elusive '86 CJ-7 axles, which includes the wide-track Dana 44 rear axle. These axles are a bolt-in for any Scrambler (actually, for
any '76-'86 CJ-5, CJ-7 or Scrambler). The vehicle had 101K miles, so it's a low-mileage CJ. Gear ratio is 3.31.
NOTE: I have only ever seen 2.73 and 3.31 ratios in the '86 WT D44, so this is the lower (better) of the two ratios. I have owned several of these axles in the past, BTW.
Dana 44 rear axle is complete drum-to-drum. I haven't had the drums off yet, but I'd assume that the brake hardware should be replaced just due to the age.
Front Dana 30 (which has a thicker passenger knuckle design than all other WT Dana 30s, BTW) is complete caliper-to-caliper, and includes the tie rod & drag link. Brake rotors need to be turned.
Both axles roll freely, with no wierd noises from either. I can include the spring plates if you need them, as well.
$750 FIRM for the pair of front/rear axles. If these do hit eBay, I plan on blasting the rear housing & wire-wheeling the front housing, and painting them with POR-15 before doing so. Pretty stuff sells well. ;) I could do the same prior to selling these here, providing you don't need them ASAP...prepping/painting them would probably be 3 weeks out.
Thanks,
Craig
