All the parts are in the same zip code now....

...now all I have to do is piece them together.

Start with a caddy big block:
Motor 1
Motor 2

Add an s-blazer frame:
Frame 1
Frame 2

Add a D44 front:
Rollin

Add a single cab S10 cab, TH400, np203:
Sorta together

Add a 14 bolt rear and some bigger tires:
Rear shot

Add some steering linkages (still need to clean that up):
Steering

And the whole thing looks a little less horrible in this shot:
Rust, what rust?

Its a cut and paste mutt project from over 10 vehicles now. Ive been having excellent luck with getting cheap or free parts at each step of the way.

The next step is getting that front suspension redone to handle the weight that its seeing now, finishing some brake plumbing, setup the cooling system, and then its ready for the first lawn victory lap.

There's still the winch mounting to handle, some sheet metal on the front end, roll cage / exo, wiring, gas tank, shift linkages, blah blah blah...

It takes time, but I'm having a blast learning. The basic goal of it was have a toy to trailer around, and start learning what I dont know that I dont know about building ground up.

I dont get your facination with that hole Ryan. Theres no path, it doesnt go anywhere... you just drive in it and get stuck!

I'd rather go somewhere that I've got a chance of getting through.

I guess I better think up something for winching backwards if you make me go in there.

I saw a maroon 90s chevy at the mud bog last weekend, I think I'm going to rip off his exhaust idea.

He had headers arranged the same way as my manifolds, mufflers directly attached, and chopped holes in the hood.

With the height of the cab over the motor right now, I might be able to clear some short mufflers and only have to hack holes in the hood for exit pipes. Otherwise, muffler sized holes.

Or I could go wtih my texan buddy's idea and bring both pipes straight up, then bend them into longhorns for the front.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I still need to drive into that hole and get stuck, it's a 36m tradition now!
