Body Work Sucks

well... Im in the middle of doing body work on my YJ and I too have grown to hate it with a passion. Although i wouldnt really consider my case body work.. its more of a body reconstruction

the booger welds are because there were some gaps... and by some i mean we cut it out with a plasma cutter so ti was all jittery\

my normal tigs, no booger there!

and my sweet shop pics

heres the link to all of the pictures -- http://www.clarkstoncracker.com/learnz/YJ%20project/

cripes... you know its not that hard to find a rust free (or close to it) body... Just take one weekend to drive to Georgia or something and get one for $500.

So should we expect to see that on the road in like 10 years?

I'm kidding. That looks great actually. The scrambler body had a few holes in it too that needed reconstruction. At least you have a plasma cutter....we had cutoff wheels

To give you some encouragement. Mine looked like that only 3 months ago. And we did lot more mods than you are doing. Mine is all back together and running now! So, keep at it!

yeah ive got alot of the tools and toys to make this process alot easyer, but theres no getting around making patches, welding them in, grinding them down, then attacking the area with body hammers... It sucks i can only work on it for 2 hours a day
