Bay City/Saginaw people

Who is all going from Bay City/Saginaw area? I will be heading up right from work (M-46 & I-75) and was wondering if anybody wanted to caravan up there together. I will probably get out of work at 5pm, or maybe I'll take half a day...just depends. I've never been up to Marv's place so I have no idea how to get there.

Crap...I planned on making a bunch of jello shots. I doubt management will let me keep them in a freezer...so I'm going to have to keep fresh ice on them in the cooler...while they're in the car. Oh well..anyway....back on topic.

Caravan:
MudGrl (Mindi)
Dyerks (David)
HarleyMama (Regina)
ricksjeep91 (Rick)
badazzamc(Travis)
Guitardrumr (Caleb)

Well, I'm not leaving from the Saginaw area, but I'll be going by there on my way up. I don't really know where I'm going either, but if you want to do the caravan thing, just let me know when you'll be leaving, and I'll plan to be where you are then.

Quick edit: You're talking about friday right?

I usually take 83 and 15 to Bay City then 13 to Standish then 76 to West Branch but thats because I don't like taking the heep on the expressway. This route runs parallel to 75. Marv's place is just off 76. You take the last right before you get to the business loop in West Branch. This might be a good route for others who don't want to take the e-way.

I doubt I'll be able to go but if I Go I won't be leaving flint until 6

Yeah Friday night. I get out at 5 and I'd be only a 1/4 mile from I-75.

I only have 3 days of vacation between now & the end of the year. I'm already using one day for my brother's wedding...so I don't know if I really want to use one of those days to get out early or take the entire day off.

Thats fine by me. I'm pretty sure I won't be leaving till mid afternoon anyway, so I'd be by there around then anyway.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

x2, If I end up going, we'll be rolling through that area around 5ish as well. However I do know how to get there, its gotta be the easiest hosue to find in the city. get off 75, turn right, turn right, turn left, and he's on the left.

Awww. That's really nice & thoughtful of you. Thank you!
I think I'll drive though. I always over pack, so I am sure the back of my blazer will be packed full to the top of the ceiling. Plus I have to have 2 big coolers...one for the jello shots one for the food. Mmmmmmm

Well, the Saginaw Rd exit (between Bay City & Saginaw) has some fast food restaurants & some gas stations. There's a Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell (i think), McD's, a 7-11, Speedway, Mobile, oh yeah and Burger's (it's a good restaurant that has some German & American food with a kick ass burger, but upsets my stomach bc it's the traditional greasy bar burger ).

Map

I work off of exit 149A, less than a mile East. East of 75 on M-46/Holland Rd is entering a bad part of Saginaw. There are some fast food restaurants there, but I don't know if it's a good place to meet.
Saginaw Rd exit is 160.
Exit 164 has an Uno's, Ponderosa, & Applebees about a mile down the road (Wilder & Euclid on that map).
Anything north of Bay City, I don't remember what is there by the exits.

Jeff (BlueXJ), are you going to cravan, too?

If I go, I'll have to swing home and get my passenger, then I'd be on my way. I'm sure I could time it to be in that area at whatever time and just meet ya on the way. I might leave earlier though, to get a good camping spot, that place fills up fast.
