Do you have any rubbing issues with your XJ?

Yeah, I'm always rubbing myself when I drive.

Actually, about 2 weeks after that picture was taken (about 2 years ago) I went to the Mounds and did some major damage to my front fenders. Since then I have installed slightly taller springs all around, and extnded my bumpstops. My flares and front bumper cover have been shaved quite a bit.

She still looks good, but nothing like she did in that picture.

Yes. It has a 3.5" lift, and larger tires.

I used a pressure treated 4x4 in the rear. I cut lines in the 4x4 to match the ribs on the body, and then cut a groove in the bottom of the 4x4 for the axle. The front end I used pressure treated 2x4s in the right spots to raise it up. The original Jeep came with 11" tall tires. I upgraded to 13" tall tires.

The only other mod required was extending the steering shaft. I simply cut the shaft in half below the dash, and jammed a piece of pipe on each end. Then I drilled and cotter pinned the pipe in place.

With the gearboxes geared for 11" tires, and swithcing to 13" tires, the top sped has improved 20%!!!

It now goes 6 MPH instead of 5 MPH
