magnum 727?

I have a 93 ram with a bad trans. I want to put the magnum 318 in my 88 that has a very tired motor and cant seem to get a clear answer on if the 727 will mount to the magnum without ckp interferance. Anyone do this or know someone that has?

ckp?
The bell housings should be the same as well as mounting points from the flex plate/torque converter. As far as being a direct replacement, not a chance. The computer from the 93 won't work the trans and the computer from the 88 won't work the motor. Of course I'm assuming your 88 is a T.B.I. 318 w/overdrive. Your 93 would be a M.P.I. 318. As far as will they bolt together yes but after that

it is tbi but its still got the non overdrive 727 the 93 i believe is a stand alone motor only computer with something ealse controling the trans. Not sure if the 727 in my 88 has a elecrtonic lock up and the trucks are both 4 hours away right now.

pull the pan and see if it has an aux mini valve body added to the old one with a 5/16's aluminum line run to it.
