dana 30/35
I want to regear my jeep I am currently running 3.07 gears I dont plan on going bigger than 35's ever (well not with these) and id like to lock the front I dont remember where I saw but i believe i need new carriers is this correct? also what ratio do some of you guru's reccommend its a 4.0 auto 1:1 3rd gear and np231 im thinking 3:73 ratio Is this bad, good, or a waste of money?
What I am really asking is what all do I need to limited slip rear and lock the front upgrade to 3:73's?

Dana 30 3.54 and down; 3.73 and up
Dana 35 3.31 and down; 3.55 and up The limited slip would be a full carrier anyway, so you just need the r&p, install kit, and limited slip for the d35. For the d30 you'd need r&p, carrier, install kit, and aussie/ez-locker/lock rite. For 35s and the auto I'd prefer 4.10s. 3.73 would be ok, at least better for high speed highway driving and maybe a little better on the pocket book for gas. |

Gina, there are a ton of 30/35 gears out there... Most guys don't bother selling them when they upgrade to heavy duty axles.

yeah but it says he is running an AUTO... so 4.10s and yes you will need to change your carriers.
