Winch plate pattern?
Does anyone have a diagram of a winch plate? I am starting to fab a bumper for my xj but I dont know the dimentions on a winch. Most I have found said the bolt pattern is 10x4.5 is that exact? I built The mount itself out of 1/4 plate and cut it to 24x9 but this seems to long to me. I wil post pics as it starts to come together. I am still waiting on some steal but I have the frame brakets cut and the d-rings made up. Anyhow thanks if you can help with the winch mount.

10x4.5 is standard for all winches under 10k. Some 10k+ winches use larger patterns. Also the 8274 warn uses a different mount as well.

Well I have got some things done in my spare time. If the pic works you can see the winch plate, D ring mounts, 2" reciver and frame brackets. I still need to drill a bunch of holes but that is the easy part. I am still waiting for my 3x5 tube so I can start putting it together.
