Spiders are typically programmed to visit sites that have been submitted by their owners as new or updated. Entire sites or specific pages can be selectively visited and indexed. Spiders are called spiders because they usually visit many sites in parallel at the same time, their "legs" spanning a large area of the "web." Spiders can crawl through a site's pages in several ways. One way is to follow all the hypertext links in each page until all the pages have been read.

I wouldn't call it bad imo.
What will now happend is that when you search for a topic or problem in Google, some of the GL threads with similar words or topics possibly might show up as answers to your search. So say you search for "Jeep 4.0L oil pump" if the Google spiders found any revelant topics of past discussion on GL those will show up along with all the online stores that sell this item and stuff.

we get that occasionally at Misfit, it seems strange in the admin panel to see the same "guest" IP addy visiting 50 pages at one time. kinda freaked me out the first time I saw it.
