removing the proportioning valve

I want to clean up the frame on my 86 runner, wondering if anyone know the correct way to reroute brake lines once the rear o.e. valve is removed? I would just leave it, but it is in the way of some gussets I want to weld in.

I would leave it in...mount to your new gussets.Is your frame rotting thet you are putting gussets in?If it is just cut out the bad and put new plate in then remount.
I took off my load proportioning valve and put an axle T in its place.Not sure if you have one of those.....think the were only on sr5 models

what about a wilwood proportioning valve? If I set it to what a nominal load would be, it should be no different than having it?

that would also work....I would not take it out and not run one....I took out the load p. valve because it was producing air in the line

I put a summit proportioning valve on mine ( same as wilwood). Worked good once you get it tuned in right. Nice being able to adjust it. Only problem i had was the nob seized up so i ended up turning the nob off. My advice is to keep the nob well lubed.

Check that everything works together first, i didnot witch lead to alot of trips to napa. I also did the chevy master cylinder and used a dual diafram booster out of a 94 4x4 toyota truck. All made a preatty big difference. Any ?'s about the swap just ask.

I say, remove it - hook it up to a gauged fluid pump, with a different gauge check the output pressure full open / full closed / static.....

then you can make an adapter and base the adapter on your desired flow pressure.
