High steer arms

Who to but them from? Been searching the web. Koz has the cheapest at $40 each. But PartsMike looks to put together a pretty good package. I am so confued, even over this 10 degree milled in thing they clain on some of them. Any input would be appreciated.

Koz's looks like Shakerbuilts...


While I guess they both will "work" they certainly aren't as strong or as cool looking as the much thicker Parts Mike arms.




On many flat tops (the good Chevy and Jeep ones) the steering arm surface is actually 80 deg to the spindle face, the 10 deg correction of some high steer arms puts your tie rod ends at 0 deg misalignment... less wear and argualbly their strongest position.

Kevin at Jeeperz Creeperz has his knuckles on his CJ set up with Parts Mike arms if you want to swing down some day and take a look at them in person. I'll be ordering mine from Parts Mike.

what is really nice about parts mike, you can get everything you need in on stop. Studs, nuts, arms. Just get one package with everything you need to bolt them on.

What about the taller arms? When do you need those? I will eventurally go spring over but not for a while. If I go to a 6 leaf pack is it neccessary for the taller arms, so I should just get those now?

Yeah with 6 leafs you will probably need the taller arm OR some spacers... the taller arm is a better idea though.

To clear my custom 5 leaf springs I had to shave the casting in my d44 and mount the perches as low as possible on the tubes... I have a good 3/8" clearance with no spacers and the regular arms.

Ironman just did the parts Mike setup on his CJ D44 front, and is happy with what he got.

Shawn, I thought you had hi steer setup from Aaron?

Koz's price of $40 is just for the arm, studs/nuts are an additional $25.

wrong again....theirs are $80 and only offer a passenger side.

I want the arms with the correction milled into it. And, I want them tall enough to not have to worry about spring clearance. So, I have been heavily looking at PartsMike's Heavy Duty arms, wich are 1.5" tall, but over $250 for the package. Lots of money. But I guess you do it once and do it right.

No, I got a lot of parts from him in the past, including the waggy knuckles that I am currently using. but, it's the knuckles that is giving me all this greif.

Come look at Kevin's before you do anything crazy. He is spring over with the 6 leaf RE SOA springs. He has the regular 1" arms and there is plenty of clearance to the spring.
