***SOLD***
1992 BMW 318i sedan
1.8L 4 cylinder
5 speed manual (the only way to drive a BMW)
128,000 miles
Starts, runs, drives and stops great.
Body is in very good condition...not excellent.
Get's 25-30 MPG, and runs up to 125 MPH.
I have owned this vehicle for a little over a year. In that time I have replaced:
Front rotors
Driver's window regulator
Driver's window seal
Both fog lights with OEM assemblies
One rear trailing arm bushing
Replaced worn seats with a nice used set from a coupe
Timing chain tensioner
Cabin filter
A bunch of other stuff I can't remember.
I change the oil every 3,000 miles (4 times in the last year).
Things I haven't done:
Fixed the A/C- the previous owner removed the A/C compressor, and never replaced it. So the compressor doesn't exist. I found a used compressor on bimmerforums.com for $60, but I never got around to buying it. The rest of the hardware can be purchased for around $100 on the same forum. A dryer will also be required; about $75 online for a new one. Alot of people remove the A/C system to save weight, so you can either consider this already done, or get the parts from one of these guys.
The airbag light came on a couple months back when I cleaned the engine. It may just need the code cleared, but I'm not sure.
I really love driving this vehicle, but it's time to do the financially responsible thing, and let someone else enjoy my Bimmer.
