ZJ front winch bumper

This was built for my Xj then stuck on my TJ and now my ZJ , minor alterations on the mounts was required .

Grifter needed some thing for a ZJ so im posting this .

2x4 tubing with angle iron welded on the back side , the angle iron was used to attach the 1/4 inch plate that slids in to the orginal bolts . Its the same 4 bolts that hold the bracket for factory tow hooks . 2 bolts 1,2 " grade 8 were used to further secure the angle iron and hold the D rings on the front . The warn sets on 1/4 " plate welded to the top and braced from the bottom up to the plate .

Its simple cheap and strong , it carries a 8,000 warn wich has been maxed and never moved the bumer or mounts .

You can also see in one pic a heavy duty skid plate that attaches the the bumper and down to the core supprt . Ths Grand plays hard and the radiator was rather open so this took care of approach problems . The plates is strong enough skid the grand up rocks .
