For just a DD and tow rig...probably not. For a trail rig, yes. Lockers can be very streetable too, you just have to change your driving style a bit so you're not scrubbing the tires on every turn you make.

Are you having trouble with your vacuum disco? Mine gives me fits every once in a while, but I don't think on a DD that the posi-lock is worth it.

Whenever I had problems on my YJ I just took it apart and cleaned everything out... seemed to work for a few more months.

Yeah mine on the YJ did a lot also.

You can replace that vacuum motor for about $50 and that will give you many more miles.

Would substituting squawking or squealing for scrubbing work?

We're apparently misunderstanding each other here.

I just ASS*U*MED that they would be the same price as Jeep aftermarket ones.

Jeep ones from the dealer are $225, while dodge ones from the dealer are $175.

Oh long day...

I had a rear locker in my KJ for two years and it was my DD. It was a Richmond Powertrax No-Slip, and it was great on the street.

My Detroit is too strong for the tiny MT/R's. Hear them all the time now. The 35's would unlock it without a problem.

Fixed it.
People that ive talked to about these said this exactly "This is the worst product i've ever encountered, I would not recoment this pile to anyone" "i installed it on my truck and routed it per manufactures directions, The damn thing does nothing but bind"
So i think that answers your question..

I thought burning was the method of choice when using a stake?
