Working on the cruzah a little...pics..

When I finished building this thing a year and a half ago, someone asked my why I did not cut the rockers and move the sliders up. I never notice or thought about it until then.

I had it out at the badlands and that is when I started to notice how much I ended up on my sliders when daryl's YJ would not.

So it has been on my list of things to do for a while now, and I finally found some time to work on it. Here is the before and after from cutting the rockers.

Before:

After:

It was just a simple cut, there were no supports or anything. Wish I would have noticed that when I built it orginally, but oh well.

My rockers were shot on the truck so i used some angle and braced it. Looks close to stock and holds the weight of the truck

2.4 liter 4 cylinder. Basically, he's running a mini-truck drivetrain.

I know. Saw it when he was building it last year when I got a spare t-case from him.

Same setup as my truck, actually, although I'm staying FI. My truck is originally an 83 so I still rock the L52 shorty.

So, wait... an inline 4 powered Land Cruiser 40 series? Apparently, it must do alright... How does it compare to the original F?

never had an orginal F. I got a tub, frame and hood. That is all the cruiser that I started with. I did put it on quite a diet as well. Ditched the doors, windshield frame, fenders, top, stock dash, and alot of crap off the frame. I would guess it weighs about 3500lbs loaded up on the trail. So a 100hp motor does just fine. I have driven it on the road, and it did fine up to 55mph.

Didn't you get lots of exhaust pipe with it too?
