DNR Response to the draft plan

Here is the link to the dept response to the draft plan, This will go to the NRC in Jan for aprovall, this is where we can make a big difference in what the dept spends our money on, and there priorities. Please take time to read them, then we need to start another thread on our respnse to the NRC.

I'm confused. What should I be reading there?

It makes more sense if you read them in this order (from the link in Yetti's post):

Executive Summary
Department Comments
Memorandum to NRC

Dr Nelson's full reccommendations are in the full-length article, but the executive summary gets right to the heart of the discussion.

The DNR still seems like they are dragging their feet on all of the major issues - increased routes, SE MI scramble area, finishing the St Helen's area, etc. They sound as though they don't have adequate resources to implement anything beyond what they are already doing. Every step of the way they site their basic agreement to the idea, but they don't think they can get it done without help.
