move me or remove me please.

Alright, I've got a waggy 44 with the passenger side shaft stuck in it. I've already removed the driver side and I was able to use a drift through the backing plate holes and knock it out. Didn't take much effort. Pass side I've tried everything except a slide hammer (which I don't have). I've used the drum on reverse and the lugnuts on for a redneck slide but that doesn't cut it. The drift through the backing plate holes isn't getting done either

Any other thoughts? It seems so stuck, I can't even imagine a slide hammer gettin' out. help me brainstorm. . .

i dont wanna sound like an ass, but this is in the wrong area. I would try a slide hammer, if that dont work, put some heat to it.

try a big pry bar on the back side of the axle flange using the wheel cylinder to push against. While doing that tap on the backside of the axle flange with a hammer on the bottom side.

Thanks, I'll try that too. i've prolly been out there trying to get it apart for an hour and still no luck. I'll try this idea tomorrow and then it's off to get a slide hammer if it doesn't work.....

Fortunately yes, otherwise it wouldn't be a dumb question, it'd be an idiot mechanic......
