I hope they mark them better then what I have seen in the past. Solid lines for under 50", Dashed lines for over 50". Can never tell if the Dashlined was under the solid line.

It's crazy

These will probably be some of the worst maps you've ever seen.

IF there area 5 trails exiting a road and only 1 of them is legal to drive on -- only one will apear on the map.

It's YOUR responsability to know which one of the trails is the one they're saying is the legal one.

Get caught on one of the other 4 and get a ticket.

I really see this getting challenged in court, eventually -- IF anyone has cahoonas the size of Grandmans.

I listened to that at the meeting and was hoping I was mis-understanding it, thats messed up, at a junction you don't know which way any one of them might go, Leota can be confusing like that if you don't know the loops (on a bike anyway)

it seems like in the long run we'll end up with individual GPS data and maps donated to common sites. we could start a forum here, "Parks and Maps" for example and build a data base for actual current information. I know not everyone has GPS but those that do can just output a jpeg of a given area with the trial and a few land marks - even that would beat the snot out of what you can find now.

im thinking the goverment's version of map making is going to go the way of those roadside telephones - once the cellular coverage became common and the individual phone cost came down, that was it -
