01 escort serpentine belt - HELP!

Ok...I already have the belt, and now the tool to do the job (well, for my bf to do the job:tonka: ). Any ideas on the easiest way (other than paying $80 for it) to change the serp belt? Looks like a pain in the arse to me...

i was going to type it all but i thought you might like to look at pictures:

Automatic Tensioners have 90 to 150 foot pounds of torque
so be carful and dont slip with the wrench

that arm (spring tensionser) i think yours in mounted on the water pump or bracket
all you have to do turn it to make slack for the belt, remember the correct route for new belt
i think its eaiser than changing oil

Thanks xj, but that's not anything like mine. Actually, went here http://www.rldassociates.com/zx2/howto/belt.htm and got the instructions and diagram needed. Took about an hour, but it's done now (and only really cost me $25). Good thing tho, cause the old one was shot!!

You probably have to remove the engine mount to do it. You may not, but it's alot easier without it there.

Use a jack and block of wood and support the oil pan. Remove mount and bracket, and change belt accordingly.
