I've not researched the price but I'm betting that it would be cheaper to do the front. DO you already have rims for 5 on 5.5? Cuz that would save some cash too. For the 44 they cam in 5 on 5.5, 5 on 4.5, 6 lug and 8 lug versions. Earlier fords like 71-77 broncos were 5 on 5.5 as were 78-79 Ford Bronco, F-150, F-250, 74-80 front scout II's
You should be able ot find rotors from one of those models that will fit your spindle and junk. It might help folks to know where this 8 lug is comign from to give you an even more specific answer. |

My recommendation would be to take of the 8-lug parts and put them on the shelf. Do not sell them. Then, if you want to upgrade to a 14-bolt, d60, or d70, you'll have the parts in hand. If you have not plans for high-steer, go pull the knuckles out off any old ford d44 (ttb is fine), grab the outer shafts. If you want high steer (or the option to use it later) find a set of chevy or FSJ flat top knuckles and the small bearing spindles, and use the ford parts listed in the link and go that route. |
