What brand shackle is this?

I bought my XJ about a month ago, and we are still getting to know each other. This is not the stock shackle, right? Any idea what brand it is and how much longer than stock it is? It measures 6 1/4" from bolt center to bolt center. Notice the zig-zag pattern, I suspect that's a clue for some of you.

From hub center to bottom of the fender flare is 18" on all four corners with 7/8 tank of gas.

I'm going to try to put two pics in here, the first is the rear shackle. The second is the front coil. Is that pretty much stock? I don't see anything that looks like a spacer or anything out of the ordinary, do you?

I don't see anything out of the ordinary. The front end looks all stock to me. No clue on the shackle. Welcome to the world of XJ.

I'm a recreational planner/fretter... Trying to learn this stuff is half the fun for me.

Here's what I know:
* the smallest leaf is broken on the left side
* the springs are flat at best, and starting to invert
* the shackles are not stock and measure 6 1/2" bolt ctr-ctr
* from center of wheel to bottom of fender flare is 18" with 7/8 tank of gas

Here's what I think: (this is where the sanity check comes in)
* the shackles were replaced to "fix" sagging original springs
* stock shackles are 3 1/8" bolt ctr-ctr
* the replacement shackles are supposed to give about 1 1/2" lift

I'm trying to understand what I have so that I can figure out what I want. The goal for now is to, 1.) get the springs replaced, and 2.) lift 2 - 3".

Thoughts?

I would go with a 3" lift with replacements rear leaf packs and replace those shackles with the stock ones. Alot of good companies out there for lifts

I've sent JKS an email to see if the measurements match up. At least it'll be another data point even if they aren't the same.

As far as replacing the broken leaves/lifting the jeep, here's kinda what I'm thinking at this point: Quadratec sells heavy duty leaf packs that lift about
2". I could use the longer shackles installed now or buy stock length shackles from Quadratec as well.

Then I'm thinking about Car Quest heavy duty coils that lift about 2" in the front. That should get me the lift I'm looking for and clearance for 30x9.5x15 tires on the stock rims. I could use spacers to get the level right depending on where the rear ends up.

I don't think I'd need to do anything with brake lines, shocks, or driveline. Does that sound right?

Sounds like you have good planned laid out. Just remember it will always need more lift inchitis is a bitch, lol. I have a 3" on mine going to add 1" front and rear ,SYE and a set of Bushwhacker flares eventually.

Shackle looks like a www.rocky-road.com or a Con-Ferr maybe. Definitely not stock.
