Oil Pan Gasket

Any tricks that can speed this process up. Gotta Throw a new one on the bottom of my 4.0 in the XJ.

yeah, do the rear main while you are at it, and save yourself some headache down the road.

when me and jay did one it had a 3" suspension lift so we were able to slide the pan out by just unloading the suspension. i dont konw if you have enough lift to just do that tho.

Yah, thats what I plan on doing Ryan, I think that I will have no problem with doing it that way. I guess I am just looking for anything that could make it go along quicker, - maybe thought someone would have a "trick of the trade..."

How are things in BR, sorry I never made it back down to see you guys, I welded up a bumper for the Cherokee and it took all of the free time I had. It came out nicely, you'll see it soon I'm sure.

Gonna kinda hijack the thread....I just purchased an 88 with a 4.0 and it also needs an oil pan gasket. I'm assuming the rear main is a two piece...any differences between his jeep and mine?

nope there should not be a diff

also brent i have done a pan where i put twist ties through the pan and gasket to hole the gasket on while you get it in place then just take the ties out it helped out

get the one piece blue felpro pan gasket. and definately do the rear main
