XJ Mpg

Any help with this? Maybe something that has come unhooked that happens to these that I haven't checked. Vac Lines all seem to be just fine. I can't believe how much gas the old girl sucks down...

the best money spent is in the exhaust on these. you can off the cat. and put a decent performace muffler on. it should bump it a little

my 2000 xj is sitting at 4-5 inches on 31's spun by 3.55's, with a k/n filter /rustys airtube, my cat seems to have fallen off somewhere, and the 2.5 inch (custom bent, homemade) exhaust sports a Flowmaster series 40...to top it off i have a cargo rack (read windsail) on top...on the highway i get about 300 miles on the tank which usually means she ate 18.5 gallons, (however i have a slight lead foot, if i backed off a lil it might improve), best I ever got was 350 miles to a tank and that was on the home stretch coming up 75 from cinncy...

note my girlfriends 97 zj, (5.2 liter V8, auto) gets 400+ to the tank on the highway and 325 in and around town...best i can figure the power to weight ration is where its at, hence the reason i want to switch 4.11's and as well get going on my power build, biobills donation motor will be my stroker block, which hopefully will increase my milage a lil on them long trips...as of now its all theory...proving grounds will be upon completion and then i will adjustacordingly./...

sorry it aint broke down into mpg...i suck at math and tend to stick to the highways anyway....
