help 95 s-10 bazer t-case no shift, electronic

My mom has a 1995 s-10 blazer.

She's having issued with the 4wd.

It has new switches, that have been tested and are good.

all I get is ckicking from the module behind the dash. and the 4hi nd low lights will flash and both stay on......

I'm looking for where to start looking for issues.

Thanks Guys! I'll look into it later today.

Normally I'd just tear into something and figure it out, but It's my mom's, and I don't want her to have to be stuck home.

Im not positive of it, but didnt the electronic shift t-case s-10s still use a NP231, if so maybe there is Ice jamming up the linkage to the shift motor...

theres no external linkage. the motor mounts right to the case

if you did not figure it out my guess would be the vacume acutator under the battery. My 1996 did the same thing and the acutator was shot. I replaced it and it works like a champ now.

thats just the front axle actuator, it has nothing to do with the flashing lights in the dash for the electronic shift 4x4.

aight, well when my acutator went out, the 4x4 light flashed on the dash to tell me, "Hey, don't do anything stupid, you don't have 4x4" I checked the motor, fuses, etc and all was good. I replaced the acutator, light came on steady and I had 4x4.

the light will flash untill then axle and t case are ingaged, but tonka has 2 lights flashing where you only had 1 im assuming. i had the same exact thing as tonka, where it flashed both high and low because it couldnt get anything to work.
