What do you want to know specifically?

I'd just start browsing all of the pics threads at Pirate..

if you are interested in building a chassis i would start out buy figuring out what drivetrain you want then start a sort of scrap book of chassis that you like and the certain lines about them. then sit down with a builder and talk about it and see what you can come up with. there are so many different styles you could go with that are all affected by drive train, use, seating, and budget.

If your unsure of what goes into building a chassis, I would just purchase one from a reputable vendor. They really aren't THAT expensive. It may even save you money in the long run.

x ellevetykabillion.

I have bent up nearly 30 cages, even exos, and I could barely get the steel for what a good chassis goes for, not to mention all the time and headaches of designing it.

yea what cooter said X10 -

i buy reasonable quantities of material and have decent stuff to work with but i cant touch their cost. its tuff to beat buying something and then going to town on it, saves time and money all around plus alot of the geometry is sorted out or at least at a good starting point.
