Hypertech Programmer

I searched, no matches.

I just ordered a Programmer for our truck. Anybody that has one or used one notice a differece?

Any other inexpensive mods to beef up a Ram. Better breathing? Exhaust? Wires/Ignition? Ours has the 360.

Any suggestions would be great, this is the first non-jeep vehicle we've bought in 6yrs. - Finally have a tow rig.

Forgot the Hypertech... it's not worth it

I have a Mopar Performance ECM sitting in my garage I'll give ya for $50. Brand new it's $290

Unlike a chip or the hypertech you're actually swapping out the ECM for one that only considers maximum performance in the fuel mapping, etc. It made a big difference in my old Ram

read scooters post and the subsection dealing with chips and the shortcomings.

I have heard much more bad about any of the popular chip makers like hypertech, jet, etc. No free lunch they waste gas, comfuse the computer and cause all sorts of trouble codes. Superstockers mopar perf ECM sounds like a baragain ! do that. be sure to read scooters entire post. He does fuel systems for a living (i think he does about 95 % sure thats what he does he is a smart dude and an engineer so thats good enough ) so he knows his stuff, and if thats not his exact job he is right, my old man has been doing fuel system for ford and DCX since the late 80s. He told me the same stuff scooter did.
