2005 Brake Light Replacement

Anyone know how to get the light housing out of the box so I can replace a burned out bulb? I've removed the 2 fasteners that are seen with the tailgate open, but there is something still holding the assembly in and I can't figure out how to access it.

On my Ram, you reach up from underneath the truck into the bed sheetmetal, grab the desired socket, rotate until it unlocks, pull it out, replace the bulb, and reverse the precedure to reinstall the socket.

You may be thinking too hard about this.

its a PIA. trying to remember... you take out the 3 or 4 screws that hold the taillight in. two are outside, and two are from the inside (between the tailgate and the bedside. they are torx i think. then you have to take the whole grey plastic strip off, it has all the bulbs on it. i think that has more smaller torx on it. then you can access the bulbs, they are the ones with a flat black connector about 3/4" wide.
