Roll bar add ons

I was wondering if any one has turned a stock YJ roll bar into a family style roll bar and what it takes, and what it would cost to get some peices bent up to do so?

Put up a wanted ad, I traded my angle one for a family style.

Here is what I did to mine after that swap

It is all tied into the frame, now just gotta figure out my tube fenders, and front bumper, and tie the seats to the cage.

To be honest, I forgot what I have into the tubing, a couple of us bought it at the same time and cut down on our costs. I know I got 40 feet of it, and am just about out.

We could add on to your rear exsisting cage to make it a family cage for about $150. If you look around, you could probably find a family cage(92-95') for the same price or cheaper. I know of one that a friend has, but he wants $150 for it.

If you need a front cage, our cages are pretty affordable. http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/...c?Screen=cages

The three piece TJ ones scare me, but a YJ one I trust. after seeing Ashie's after she rolled hers, yeah, I trust them. Plus, everything is just about triangulated now.

Gary, take a look at Clair's roll bar in his YJ, or maybe you have.

Tab bent that up for him and welded it to his stock B hoop.

Our family friendly system is tied to the frame in a six point pattern. I flipped my Jeep down the back side of test hill and not one angle of that cage was altered. our cages start at $500-3000. Dont go cheap faults security. Call Shaine Riley with Warloc Auto Fab for details. 616-886-4221

Pretty cool, thanks for the photo. Did yours start out as a family, or sport cage? Mine is a sport and I would like to do something simular to yours.
thanks

Mine is a 87 YJ so it was the sport cage. I wanted to be ablt to go to the dunes and not have the kid wear a helmet so we made the family add ons in the back and cut the short down bars off.
