NAPA's 85-up HP60 4-prong axle nut sockets suck ass

Don't buy them - they are very poorly manufactured and way too expensive. Mine wouldn't fit either side. Luckily, one of the nuts was loose enough to spin out by hand. Upon presenting the tool back to NAPA with the nut, the NAPA employee took it in the back to "fix" it. A few moments later I got a refund.

Auto Value stocks them from a different manufacturer with an "external" fit, where the nut is completely surrounded by the socket. My nut dropped right into it and it was at least $20 cheaper.

I have one that is just the external 4 posts sticking out from the end, and it has worked fine, and seems to be pretty solid. I have used the type that you bought though, that surrounds the entire nut, and they are much better to work with. I would definately recomend using those instead.

i find the surround type hard to get lined up on the nut, so i prefer the regular unsurrounded one when i can find it. the surround style is stronger though

I have an OTC brand one that uses a centering dowel that keeps the tabs lined up. it cost about $55

Yep, that's what I thought. I knew one of those mushrooms was missing when I went to throw them away...
