Steering shaft...

The TSB lists a list of part numbers about 6 miles long to replace the shaft, column, and various other things (to fix the steering thud.)

Anyone here just replace the shaft to fix the problem? What shaft did you use? Stock or other?

Its more than just the shaft. The information has come over DiRT a few times with links to people that are making parts to correct the problem beyond the shaft. Everyone seems to agree that replacing the shaft makes a big difference, though.

I can dig up the DiRT emails for you if you can't Google them after I get the desktop back up and running tonight.

I\\\\\\\\\'ll be going with one of these on top of all the fixing:

Another link with more pics for you fabbers.
