TJ heater blower only works on High? Here's why

There is a resistor pack on the blower motor that slows the speed from High (the default, and only un-restricted speed that bypasses the resistor). This resistor pack slows the fan in the first few positions. It is located under the passenger side of the dash, under (well, above, technically) the black kick panel, next to the right side wall. It's only a few screws and an electrical connector holding it in. The part costs about $22, and takes less than 10 minutes to install.

note: the fan can have high go out and have the lower speeds too, mine only worked on the medium settings, and it was caused by helicopter things that got into the resistor wet, and shorted it out.

Probably the same thing. There are a couple different resistor circuits I think, so you might have lost one and not the other.

Across all vehicles, it seems the middle setting blower resistors are prone to blowing during a load dump event.

It can also happen from your heater core or evaporator getting clogged with crap, especially from the environments alot of your guy's Jeeps see.

Anyone in the Oakland Conty area....I just posted a thread about my front end cavitation on my Jeep Wrangler. Do you know of a 4X4 front end repair specialist in our area? Thanks.
