yj mpg?

for those of you with 2.5L yjs, whats your gas milage city/highway. i want to compare it to mine.

Mine was around 9 on the highway with 4.88 gears, manual trans, and 35" tires

about 7-8 around town..

My 4.0 was 14.5 highay and city. 4.10 gears and 35's.

i get 16 highway give or take, with 31s and stock gearing. is that about right?

Hahahaha, heck, I get 14mpg with the CJ with a 304! That's doing 70 mph, 35's and 4.10's and T18, I think I'll stick to my V8.

i think i want to do a 350 swap, the gas wont be that much different.

i guess im not getting that bad of mileage, i just thought that being a 2.5 that it would be atleast 20 highway

If you look at the factory stickers at the time they were new, they only got about 1mpg better iirc.

you have to remember that is is matted to a brick on wheels
