Alt wiring

Does anyone know how to wire up an alternator on a 66 willys with a 225 buick engine??? If anyone has a diagram that would be great.. Im sick of having a dead battery.

I'd look for a GM 1 wire alternator... any 70s-80s part. Just one big lug right to the battery.

Actualyl, they work better with another wire from #2 to b+, but anyway, thats what I'd do. Ought to even bolt up, I'd think..

I can't believe nobody posted the correct stuff yet.
if you are using the 3 wire alt its got the big terminal that is battery power direct.
then the regulator wires are large red to battery, some people switch this to turn off the circut, but thats wrong.
the little brown or purple (depending on year) is the switched wire. the wire needs to go to ground threw a small 12 volt bulb, and it needs to be switched in the ignition circut. the bulb is the buffer for the circut, so you have to use it.
