swap question

just picked up a 91 suburben.....5.7 l tbi,700r4 trans 208 tk
i,m going to put the drive tran an axles in another rig.......how much of the harness do i need? and were s the computer on the sub at?also it has a bent flywheel......will a older 350 flywheel work ?or is the 91 motor flywheel weighted different?

how the hell do you bend a fly wheel?
are you sure your not talking about the harmonic balencer on the front of the engine?
if its the balencer then you can use any 5.7 parts from `86 t0 `94 without problems. the lower ends are all the same.
as for wiring harness you will need everything including the colume. be gentle of you will end up butchering the darn thing.

nope the flywheel has a mayger wobel......the guy i got the sub from paid some dum ass to put a motor in and never tightend the torqconverter bolts......he thought it had a rod going,,and didnt want to fix it. ....i tightend them up and the noise stoped but it looks like the flywheel has a wobel/thanks for the info,,,i dont want to change the colems out ,so i,m going to put a carb on it

I didn't swap columns onthe silver XJ when I added the multi-port inj. TBI is an easier system to swap than MPFI from what I hear. Allyou'd need to do is add the subs wiring harness to the proper power point on the recieving vehicle. Thats all I did with the XJ.

This has most of the diagrams you need for the tbi. I'm doing a 91 4.3l TBI and it is pretty easy

IIRC the ECM are behind the glove box.

Not a flywheel.. that there would be a flex plate.
