350 Pistons
Chevy 350 piston question for you guys
It's a 1977 Chevy 350 with a stock bottom end, milled heads, 3 angle valve job, crane cam, edelbrock performer rpm intake and headers. The block is cracked along a water jacket so I'm having the block swapped out and while it's apart I figured I might as well get the compression up a little bit since it is a 77 motor and is probably pushing 8.5:1 or close to it.
I'm not looking to pushing it to the max here... just a little more power out of it.
Should I go with domed, dished or flat top pistons and what's the difference? I'm trying to shoot towards a 9.5:1 CR but I'm not also out to break the bank here.
Looking to spend a max of around $200 for the set with rings.
Iron or moly rings?
Any brands to stay away from?
