Heater hose fitting.

The heater hose fitting broke off inside of the intake manifold. Planning on drilling it out any one know what size drill bit and tap I need?

That would be on what motor exactly?

Actually I would heat it and jam a e-z out in it and take it out like a broken spark plug thread.

The problem with an easy out is the fitting is made of shoddy white metal so all it will do is grind away more metal and never get a good grip on it.

I had that happen once. An easy out did the trick!

Oh, I know the fitting you are talking about.....yea, they are a major PITA.

Same thing though....a few heating/cooling cycles with a torch and things start to break loose. Then the e-z out will work. It won't work till you heat/cool it a few times. I cool it with a shot pf PB...make a great smoke cloud too...always gets the wife freaking out. :tonka:

If it was stuck so bad it broke off....what would make it want to turn without heat? Little heat goes a long way in getting less frustrated.


Isn't that the same fitting with the quick disconnect that never quickly disconnects?

Thanks guys got it out after a couple tries with heat.

What a piece of shit. I was planning on having the new motor in the jeep this weekend. Now I'm just hoping I have the engine completely assembled when tomorrow is over. This project-> <-ME
