Rusty lower doors...

Raise your hand

I can't find a decent driver side door for under $500 either

Anyone know how the quality is on the aftermarket shells?

DON'T (REPEAT) DON'T BUY THE CHINESE STAMPED DOORS!!!!! They suck ass, I had to paint and assemble both doors for a 96' 3/4 ton. You could touch them, they would dent. And "guarenteed to fit"? My ass. We had to shim those doors SOOO much. Half the bolts for the guts of the door, A. Too big for the new doors, or B. new doors did not have threaded holes. JUNK!!!! DON"T BUY THEM!

Got a set for $3500 in the for sale section. They come with a free truck

Don't ask me how but my 95 is pretty much rust free. The doors included. I know Luke's rusted out because of the bad window seal but what about the others? Just the usual michigan cancer or did you guys also have bad window seals?

what is a perforation warranty?
would this be an original owner thing only?
would my 96 have this warranty?
all the dealers around here are all worthless, unless you are buying a new truck

just an FYI when cleanin your trucks (like anyone on here does this) make sure you clean out the drainage holes along the bottom of your doors. doing this and keeping them unclogged will help prevent this problem... yes the seals going bad allow water down into the door but those littles slots along the bottom of your door where the skin folds over the inner carcus, yea they're supposed to let the water drain out...

If its a 96 then probably not. Mine just ran out out on my 01. A perforation warranty comes on all chrystlers. Rail dust and rusty doors and things like that are all covered.

You might be able to find door shells cheap on ebay. I know I have seen them on there before. You may still have to pay to have them painted depending on your abilities and what not but I am sure I have seen em on there.

That's why I bedlined the bottom of mine BEFORE they started rusting. It'll help prevent it for a while, then it'll hide it for a while once it starts

Wont help prevent it.. 90% of the time they rust from the inside out.. but it will hide it..

these are from Sherman right there in the Detroit area. My buddy has used these on his truck with excellent luck. They fit correctly without any major hassles and seem to hold up well to the weather. His truck is a '95. BTM

A hole must form within 5 years.
