The enquirer is actually much much more substantial and research based, i am not trying to be funny. The enquirer reports lots of stuff no one else will report mainstream, and hardly ever loses a lawsuit for libel. Pretty amazing since they report all sorts of drug stuff, spouse abuse, and just hollywood loserness.

There is a reason for that too. Alot of Hollywood are losers. Entertaining as they may be, very few actually do something with thier money, the ones that do are so liberal I can't stand it. Using the clip without his permission would be a legitimate complaint, but if it was broadcast on NBC's Nightly News prior to the production of the movie - would that make it accessible to the general public and fair game?

I can't say I'm a fan of the guy, but Moore started ripping up Bush on the war years before the rest of the country did. Everybody is calling Bush the potentially worst President in history (even TIME Magazine) quite some time after Moore started throwing a tantrum about it. Sure, a lot of the stuff he has said is retarded - but then there's the rest that isn't.

I'd still be really pissed off if someone twisted around what I said and showed it to the entire country, though.

Tell me what Moore says that isn't retarted? Moore is a liberal and will find fault with any conservative president. Not just bush, he is an asshat in my opinion also, but lesser of two evils.

No not open, especially when used to make a profit.

I deal with this all of the time. Shoot, I was doing a show for Nascar, and wanted to use Nascar's footage. To do that for their internal meeting I had to get permission from
1. The Team Owners
2. The Drivers
3. Nascar Officials
4. The network it was originally broadcast on.

And this was for an internal meeting, not being shown to the public. There are alot of laws that apply to broadcast footage.

I sympathize with the soldier and his family and by the soldier's account he was done wrong by that dumbass MM. However this part reads like a get rich quick lawsuit, "Damon is seeking $75 million in damages for emotional distress and loss of reputation.
