I was looking through some pics and here is one of my backyard mud hole. I have snk my quads in here a few times, theres lots of silty mud.

well I'll tell you what happened, I bought a backhoe and dug this hole while building a berm to knock down the noise along the highway. I actually built two ponds(craters). the reach on the hoe was long but not deep because the sand is very loose and it was hard to go deep and stay near the edge of the hole. so I got 700 feet of berm accrossed mine and my neighbors back yard, and the craters are about 150' accrossed and mines about 20 feet deep with little to no water in it. I did build the berm with wheeling in mind, its got some good grades to test out the capabilities of a rig. one side is scary steep and about 14-15' high. the top is wide enough to drive down on my side. the rest is only about a 9' high and about 48" at the top
