need a little bit of 4x2 steel

I wasnt sure if I should post this in wanted or in here. I need like 4" or so of 4x2 or 6x2 steel or anything bigger then 4x2 would work and I could make it work. anything 3/16" or 1/4" would work. Since I only need 4"s of it I doubt that a metal shop would wanna sell me that little. I guess I should stop by and see if they have any small scarps laying around. If you have any and are sort of in the Plymouth area let me know how much you would want for it or if you just want me to get it out of your way

Well, most steel yards would have a scrap bin with stuff like that, that you can take it for free, usually. At least mine does.

Ty, there's a few places off of Newburgh and Amrhein (could be industrial there, the road just south of the railroad tracks). Head east on that road about 1/4mile. They are in a grey painted cinder block building. Two metal shops right next to each other. I can't remember their names, but they are still there. One shop let me take three small pieces of .125 plate for nothing.

Give them a shot.
