426 magnum

someone just told me somebody was making a 426 stroker kit for a 360 magnum. any one hear of this i cant seem to finda anything about it.

408 is the largest stroker kit that I know of for a 5.9 magnum. Never heard of a 426 unless it was a Hemi.

I think .060 over 340's with a 4.00 stroke crank are 420, but for 360's 408 is it.

maybe he was tallking about a 340 based motor then. he was talking about some new 340 blocks that can be majorly over bored. thats probly it. I did see a scat kit for a 360 into a 416 dont think it's for the magnums though.

The old 340 "X" blocks, so it says on the paper work, can be bored .060 over and still reliably run 2.5 horsepower per cubic inch. The newer 340 blocks from M.P. are siamesse bore. I don't know much about them other then listening to how bad my brother wants one:tonka:

Sounds like an awesome plan, but dumb at the same time. Too damn much time to make a 426 small block, even if it is a magnum. oh well.
