Lock right Help

I have a Lock right in my ZJ that was working but before I went out wheeling the rear would only drive on the left side only. Has anyone else had this problem, and what should I look for when I tear in down? Are the teeth worn down, do I need to replace the springs..... any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would check what you have mentioned. Then I would check the gap between the driven gear and the croos pin. This will tell you if the case is worn.

Yep. Check the teeth, check the 4 pins to make sure they didn't break(you can buy new ones for a few dollars..), and using feeler gauges, check the gap between the two halves of the lock rite.

You can go to richmond gear's website and download a new manual if you need to, to get the spec for the allowable gap between the halves.

Looks like the inner spacer that locks into the outer couplers sheered of a tooth and it got wedged and would not let the coupler engage with the inner part.
