Wheel locks!!

Okay, I need some help from you guys. I bought a CJ7 a couple months ago. When my son went to get the tires changed, we discovered that the wheel lock socket is missing.

The question is, how do I replace the lock socket? Or how do I get the locks off without messing up the wheels?

I usually hammer a 12pt, 1/2"drive Craftsman socket on with a BFH. That way if I break it, I just put it in the bag to go back to Sears.

Exactly what those two said, Pound a 12 pt socket onto it, and twist it off

Just like a beer bottle cap

i actually just did it a couple of weeks ago........same thing, just used a closed ended wrench....pounded it on....and came off easily, and just replaced it with a regular lug

For this style I usually weld a 1/2" nut to it.

ohhh welding a 1/2 inch nut to it is a great idea
